Returns Policy

We want you to feel confident in every piece you choose. If something isn't quite right, we’re here to help with a policy that keeps both style and sustainability in mind.

It’s important to note that shipping costs are not covered by Staple & Story when sent back, so we suggest using your local post office for the best service and tracking ID. Please note that returns should sent back with tracked delivery.

For added ease, you’ll find our return instructions on the returns sheet enclosed with your delivery for a hassle-free process.

1. Return Eligibility

1.1. Items must be returned within 14 days of delivery. 

1.2 Items must be in their original condition – unworn, unwashed, and with all tags attached.

1.3 Items must be in the original packaging (where possible).

1.4 Returns are not accepted for:

  • Items marked as Final Sale.

  • Gift cards.

  • Worn, altered, or damaged pieces.

2. Return Process

  • Submit your return request via email at orders@stapleandstory.co.uk within 7 days of delivery. Let us know if you would like a refund or an exchange.

  • Once approved, you’ll receive a return confirmation email. A return handling fee of £5.00 will be deducted from your refund.

  • Take your return to a courier of your choice and ensure tracking is included in the shipment method.

 

3. Returns Shipping

3.1. ​Please be aware that returns must be sent within 14 days of receiving your order.

3.2. Returns posted after the 14 day period will not be accepted and will be refused and returned back to you.

4. Inspection Approval

4.1. Once we receive your returned item, it will be inspected to ensure it meets the return eligibility criteria.

4.2. We will notify you via email of the approval or rejection of your return.

4.3. If the return is approved, we will process your refund.

4.4. Once approved a £5.00 handling fee will be deducted from your refund.

5. Refunds

5.1. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, minus any return handling fees, within 7 working days of receiving your item.

5.2. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

6. Exchanges

6.1. We do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different size or color, please return your item and place a new order.

 

7. Damaged or Incorrect Items

7.1. If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us at orders@stapleandstory.co.uk within 2 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right - on us.

8. Exclusions

8.1. Staple & Story does not accept international exchanges. Returns are accepted for eligible items as outlined in this policy, but exchanges for international orders are not available.

9. Changes to Return Policy

9.1. Staple & Story reserves the right to modify this returns policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

9.2. By making a purchase from Staple & Story, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this 14-day returns policy.
